Dr Veronika Kapsali

Veronika Kapsali has worked in the fashion sector since 1999 as a studio manager and freelance textile designer.

In 2004 she began to lecturer in textile technology and design development at the London College of Fashion while studying for her doctorate in Biomimetic textiles at the University of Bath’s Mechanical Engineering Department.

Veronika is a leading expert in the field of clothing comfort and biomimetic textiles, with a body of published work on the subject. She is a regular presenter at international conferences.

Veronika has also undertaken a variety of consultancy projects including trend research for the Materials Collection at the London College of Fashion Library, sourcing textiles for the Department of Agriculture in Western Australia, comfort perception and the consumer for Unilever and biomimetic innovations in fibres and textiles for The US Military Science Commission. She has also project managed an e-learning resource specialising in textile technology.

Stuart Ailion

Stuart Ailion is a Management Consultant.

Stuart worked with Koodos.com on the development of the internet retailer’s brand portfolio and recent projects have included the brokering of a new Designer Brand portfolio for Littlewoods Shop Direct; the delivery of a strategic review of current buying & merchandising practices at Ideal Shopping Direct and the development of an e-commerce trading strategy for the new internet brand oli.co.uk.

Previously, Stuart was contracted by Otto UK to work with the Board on the development of Buying & Merchandising processes required for the launch of a new catalogue and e-commerce fashion brand.

Stuart was a senior executive within the Home Shopping industry where he managed large scale buying offices. During this time he was an integral member of the Management Board that built Argos Additions from a £4m brand at launch to a £250m brand after 3 years.

Stuart's areas of expertise include strategic planning, team management, product development, international sourcing, range architecture, customer & market dynamics and change management processes.

Stuart has an M.Sc in Marketing from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology.
